Today, May 8, 2012, we celebrate the centenary of the birth of George Woodcock, who founded TRAS 50 years ago. In honour of this ‘gentle, kindly man’ who devoted so much of his life to helping others, we offer this essay (a shorter version is found in the Spring 2012 TRAS Newsletter).
