CTA Nurses Vocational Training Project during COVID

Each year, TRAS supports up to eight Tibetan students who are studying towards their nursing degrees at post-secondary institutions in India. Despite the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, each of our scholarship students continues to flourish professionally, academically, and socially. Their hard work will pay dividends to the Tibetan settlements in India where they will one day work to support their family and better their community.

PPE for Tibetan healthcare workers in Nepal – Update

Update on the PPE’s for the Tibetan Health Care Centres in Nepal Project

In December, the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) and the Snow Lion Foundation had appealed to TRAS for help in providing Personal Protective Equipment for the health care workers in Tibetan Health Centres in Nepal for the year. TRAS responded with a promise of $14,000.00 and through the generosity of you, our donors, we have raised just under $10,000.

With the funds already sent, they have purchased supplies and are now in the process of distribution.
